STRANGER TO NEIGHBOR MINISTRY™

Introducing: Stranger to Neighbor Ministry™

Stranger to Neighbor Ministry™ is a program for Christian organizations and religious schools that are dedicated to moving beyond

sameness towards inclusivity. As our world continues to become more diverse and people become less likely to be religiously-affiliated, it is essential for ministries to create welcoming spaces that reach all people. Stranger to Neighbor Ministry™ guides Christian leaders on how to push past the momentary discomfort of change to create diverse, inclusive ministries that make room for deep community.

The Program: Stranger to Neighbor Ministry™ is a two-day training:

Day One: We work with your students or leaders to equip them with the skills needed to identify and eliminate any roadblocks in reaching across boundaries in their ministries. We strategize ways to reach beyond your current congregants and participants to increase attendance and participation. We will answer questions like:

  • How do you identify cultural gaps in a ministry?
  • What are cultural blindspots and how do we address them?
  • How do you learn who from a community is missing in a congregation?

Day Two: Provide the entire Stranger to Neighbor Ministry TM to a cohort of your students or leaders

  • Dr. Daynette is available to provide a 45-60 minute lecturer or Chapel Message on the same or next day to an even larger group on your campus or in your community
  • If desired, she will facilitate a “talk-back session” following the message. Upon completion of the program, Dr. Daynette offers one-on-one Coaching and Group/Community Meetings to participants that would like to continue to strengthen their skills through Stranger to Neighbor Ministry™.
